13th Annual Dearborn Arab International Festival
This 3-day event is a free, family-centered cultural celebration. The celebration will feature ethnic performances representing the diverse heritage of the people of Metropolitan Detroit. Fireworks – will take place on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 10:06 p.m. The Target Fireworks, celebrating 50 years, is one of the world’s most spectacular and largest firework displays in the nation, lighting up the international skyline over the Detroit River.

River Days is a four day festival taking place on the new Detroit International Riverfront and culminating with The Parade Company-produced Target Fireworks.

An exhibition of the turn-of-the-century Ashcan School of painters in New York City, who smashed convention by painting ordinary life, warts and all.
"Give It a Rest: People at Play in American Prints and Drawings, 1895-1945"
Drawn from the DIA's collection, "Give It a Rest" examines works on paper about leisure-time activities, illustrating the emphasis on ordinary life in modern art.

Detroit Tigers June Schedule
Catch a spectacular view of the Detroit skyline from Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers. Fans flock to Comerica Park each summer to cheer on the Tigers. The open-air ballpark opened its doors in 2000 and maintains traditional architecture while adding luxury suites, an incredible picnic area, the most progressive concession areas in the world, topped off with a carousel and Ferris wheel for fans to ride.

21st Annual Fishing Derby from 10 a.m. to noon. Up to 200 children may register, prizes, raffles and bouncy attractions. Saturday June 7, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wyandotte Bishop's Park.

Join us for a celebration of Michigan history with a taste of times past! Visit the Wyandotte Museum for our annual pie & ice cream social on the porch of the lovely Ford-MacNichol Home. Also, stop by the Marx home for an art exhibition courtesy of the Acanthus Art Society! Then head over to Bishop Park for a glimpse of our agriculture heritage! Inside the cabin, a pioneer exhibit will display some of the artifacts of our early settlers. June 22, 2008 from noon to 7:00 p.m.

Odyssey’s Shipwreck Pirates and Treasure
Pirates & Treasure will take you on an amazing journey 1,700 feet below the surface of the Atlantic to the wreck site of the SS Republic®, the greatest shipwreck treasure of the Civil War era. More than 50,000 gold and silver coins and 14,000 artifacts were recovered from the watery resting place.

Red Bull Air Race
Red Bull Air race World Series 2008 is in only 10 cities worldwide, June 1 at 12 noon at Campus Martius Park. The Red Bull Air Race World Series features the worlds best pilots in a motor sports competition based on speed, precision and skill. Using the fastest, most agile and lightweight racing planes, pilots navigate a low-level aerial race track made up of air-filled pylons, reaching speeds of 400 kilometers per hour while withstanding forces up to 10Gs.
