Penny Williams
Penny Williams was born and raised in Windsor and has been a lifetime resident of the city.
Mrs. Williams received her Certified General Accountant designation in 1984. She held various financial executive positions in the private sector. Her career at Transit Windsor began in 1990 when she was hired as the Financial Manager. In 1996, Penny was appointed General Manager at Transit Windsor, the position which she currently holds.
Penny has held executive positions on the provincial and national public transit advocacy bodies. She is the Past President of the Ontario Community Transportation Association (OCTA) and has served on OCTA’s executive in various capacities since 1997. Penny is currently the Chair of the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) and has served on their board of directors and executive in various capacities since 1997.
Mrs. Williams has been active in the community through serving on several local boards such as the Board of Governors of St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology, the Centre for Seniors Board of Directors, and Kids Alliance Board of Directors.
