Get A Job, Get A Ride!

The GET A JOB, GET A RIDE! program lets eligible new employees save on transportation expenses. If you have been hired within the past 30 days, you can receive a FREE SMART $1.50 31 Day Pass to ride SMART's fixed route service. TransitChek^® Program

TRANSITCHEK® is a voucher program developed to encourage the use of public transportation. Employers can subsidize their employees' bus commuting costs by up to $115 a month ($1,380 per year) per employee. Employees purchase monthly passes with their vouchers. The TransitChek® program also gives employees the option of deducting TransitChek® expenses from their wages before taxes.

Effective October 1, 2007, the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) will now offer employers who are enrolled in SMART’s TransitChek® program more options to purchase transit passes and TransitChek® vouchers.
