How to Find Your Route

SMART provides service within suburban communities and between Detroit and the suburbs, Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) buses operate local service within Detroit. For DDOT Route and Schedule information click here.

There are a few different ways to find your Route on SMART’s website.

From the homepage, click on Places Served by SMART for a list of many destinations served by SMART, including shopping centers, hospitals, colleges and other places of interest.

Or you can click on the Browse Services by Community tab right next to it, find your city and see which Fixed Routes serve your area along with available Connector Service and Community Transit options.

For an overall view of the metropolitan area and SMART routes check out the System Map.

And finally, if you know your route and are trying to plan your trip, go to Routes and Schedules.  There you will find schedule times, detailed maps and a route description.
