Description:

​FIXED ROUTE

Full Fare Transfer – $0.25

  • SMART full fare transfers allow passengers to transfer to SMART buses within three (3) hours from the time the transfer is issued. Reverse riding on the route from which the transfer was originally issued is not permitted.  (Same route, different direction (SRDD) policy) 
  • At the end of the 3-hour period or when boarding the original route in the reverse direction, passengers will be required to pay another full fare.
  • SMART Fixed Route and SMART Connector transfers may be used to board any SMART Fixed Route bus at any bus stop.
  • SMART transfers will not be issued to SMART/DDOT Regional Pass customers.

Youth Transfer - $0.25
Senior/Disabled Transfer - Free

  • Passengers are able to transfer between SMART Fixed Route buses without limitation within three (3) hours from when the transfer is issued.
  • At the end of the 3-hour period, passengers will be required to pay another fare.
  • SMART Fixed Route and SMART Connector transfers may be used to board any SMART Fixed Route bus at any bus stop.
  • SMART transfers are not issued for SMART/DDOT Regional Pass customers.

CONNECTOR

  • SMART Connector transfers will be accepted on SMART Connector at transfer points only. 
  • Transfers from SMART Fixed Route may be used on SMART Connector at any bus stop for one ride on SMART Connector services. 
  • Full fare customers transferring from fixed route onto SMART Connector must pay an additional $2.00 for Advance Reservation trips. 
  • Transfers from SMART Fixed Route onto the Job Express, Groesbeck Service and other shuttle service require no additional fare.
  • Transfers from SMART Connector may be used on SMART fixed route at any bus stop.  See Full Fare and Youth/Senior/Disabled Transfer Policies above for guidelines of use.

DDOT

  • SMART to DDOT – DDOT accepts SMART transfers for one ride only.  An additional transfer may be purchased for $0.25 for further travel.
  • DDOT to SMART – SMART accepts DDOT transfers plus an additional $0.50 for one ride only.  An additional transfer may be purchased for $0.25 for further travel.
