Scavenger Hunt

#FASTScavengerHunt

Between the success of our FAST routes over the past few years and the recent launch of our joint payment system, Dart, we want to offer a fun way for people to try out transit and see all of the benefits along the way.

SMART is launching its first scavenger hunt over the weekend of November 2nd and 3rd on the three FAST routes, Gratiot, Woodward and Michigan. This is a fun and interactive way for new and seasoned riders alike to test out the newest payment options, Dart, and check out small businesses along the routes.

The Basics:

  • · Maps and instructions will be placed on the website, and then starting Saturday, November   2nd, at 10 AM the competition will begin!
  •  The instructions contain riddles that you will use to find local businesses along FAST routes.
  •  Be the first to find all four businesses on one route and win a Dart pass!

 Before You Get Going:

  • Decide if you are going solo or in a team
  • Decide which route you’re going to compete on
  • Review the instructions and maps provided below
  • Purchase your DART pass.

      Instructions                                                                                            Route Maps

While the chance to win a pass is only for the first person or group to complete the scavenger hunt on the weekend of November 2nd and 3rd, the game will remain on our website for anyone just looking for an afternoon activity.

Construction Zone

Summer in Michigan means construction, and this summer, there is a lot going on!

Even if you don’t see construction on your daily commute, please keep in mind that our routes are constantly running into detours and setbacks. If the bus is delayed before your stop, it can still slow you down. We try our hardest to work around these road projects, but safety is our number one priority - which means we may experience delays.

Know before you go and stay updated by:
•Checking our service bulletins for any detours.
•Signing up for updates through your MySMART account.
•Preparing for delays by catching an earlier bus.
