SMART Spreads Holiday Cheer to Loyal Riders!
This week, SMART riders could be in for a surprise while they wait at their everyday bus stop. The SMART Holiday Team will be spreading some much needed Holiday Cheer giving out free rides on SMART. Some lucky riders could receive either two SMART Courtesy tickets, good for one round trip or one - $2.00 31 Day bus pass, a $66 value. In total 3,000 tickets or passes will be distributed to our loyal passengers who ride SMART everyday to work, school, shopping centers or medical appointments. More

Detroit People Mover Monthly & Annual Passes Now Available at SMART Detroit Transit Center
DETROIT, Mich. (11/13/2013) –The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is branching out – making the system more accessible to a growing number of downtown residents, workers and visitors. Beginning Monday, November 18, the People Mover’s monthly and annual passes can be purchased at the SMART Downtown Detroit Transit Center. The center will sell the most current passes, allowing customers to buy fare cards for the People Mover, SMART and DDOT (via the Regional Transit Pass) – at a single location. More

Stuff-A-Bus Full of Books
SMART is once again sponsoring Family Fun in Riley Park, a series of family-friendly musical acts this summer, including the popular Stuff-A-SMART Bus with books event to be held on July 10 this year at Riley Park (33113 Grand River Ave, Farmington). All donated books will benefit the Farmington and Farmington Hills public libraries and will be delivered by Farmington Friends of the Libraries. More

Romulus Dedicates New SMART Vehicles
SMART and the city of Romulus will celebrate the addition of two new buses and one new van to their fleet on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new buses are replacements to transport senior citizens to their choice of destinations, allowing them a continued quality of life and freedom of independence. The ceremony will be attended by the City of Romulus elected officials, Deputy General Manager of Operations Jim Fetzer, Romulus Senior Center Director Rose Swidan and several city council members.
