SMART offers a variety of additional bus services to help our customers in areas where there is limited or no access to Fixed Route services. SMART offers Dial-A-Ride, Flex Route and Shuttle services. For a complete list of fares and payment options click here.
Groesbeck Flex Route Service
The Groesbeck Flex Route service can connect you to destinations not easily accessible for Fixed Route buses. Board a Flex Route Connector bus at any designated bus stop (VerKuilen Building, Macomb Mall, Bel Air Shopping Center and Eight Mile at Van Dyke) or call SMART to make pick-up arrangements anywhere within the service area. This service will get you to appointments, work or shopping destinations. For drop off arrangements at locations other than the designated bus stops, call Customer Service.

Oakland Mall Shuttle
Recently expanding its service area, the Oakland Mall Shuttle is a flexible curb-to-curb service that can take you to work, school, shopping or doctors’ appointments and connect you to Fixed Routes. Buses are dispatched within 60 minutes of your call.

- 6 a.m. – 10 a.m. - Calls must be made no later than 9:30 a.m.
- 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Calls must be made no later than 5 p.m.
Somerset Shuttle
A flexible, curb-to-curb service, the Somerset Shuttle is designed to get you to work, appointments and other popular destinations. You can also use it to connect to other Fixed Routes within the service area. Buses are dispatched within 60 minutes of your call.

Farmington and Farmington Hills Dial-A-Ride
Dial-A-Ride (DAR) is a convenient bus service that works around your schedule. It is a curb-to-curb service, allowing passengers to be picked up or dropped off at the curb of their destination. DAR is a same-day service and buses are dispatched within 60 minutes of your call. DAR is available for Farmington and Farmington Hills residents only and ID is required.

Farmington and Farmington Hills Connector Service
SMART Connector service is available for Farmington and Farmington Hill residents. It is a curb-to-curb and advanced reservation service - 6 days advance reservation recommended for medical appointments; 2 days for everything else. Connectors will take you to popular destinations in Novi and Livonia and proof of Farmington and Farmington Hills residency is required upon boarding.
