Beginning January 5, 2026, to match other FAST routes in the SMART system, Route 563 FAST Gratiot will be renumbered to Route 561.
Weekday frequency will improve to every 20 minutes throughout the day. Service will also run later into the evening.
Route 562 FAST Gratiot Direct will be consolidated with the new 561; service to WSU & North River Rd concludes Friday, January 2.
Improved regular service to WSU is available via 461/2 FAST Woodward; service to the DMC and North River Rd will resume later in 2026 on routes 100 Hamtramck and 610 Kercheval-Harper.
