Fares

SMART riders have access to Transit Royale through a partnership with the RTA of Southeast Michigan. All DART Regional passes (DDOT + SMART) are valid for travel on any SMART fixed route.

Note: Wayne State students, faculty, and staff receiving free DART passes through WayneRides will need to download the standalone Token Transit application and set up an account. Follow the instructions on the WayneRides website to access your passes.

All fares are subject to change. SMART fares are economical. All fares are one-way.
The Park & Ride premium fare will be eliminated on January 5, 2026. More details

  • DDOT Reduced Fare ID Pass Card
  • Valid State of Michigan ID or Driver’s License (To verify age of youth or older adults)
  • Medicare Card (NOT Medicaid Cards)
  • School ID card with picture and date of birth
