​If you are looking to expand your business opportunities, become a vendor with SMART. SMART utilizes The Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network also known as MITN. MITN is an Internet-based web site where vendors can easily be notified of bid opportunities throughout Michigan.

To become a SMART vendor means to participate in the procurement process. SMART is committed to full and open competition. In order to meet this commitment, SMART must bridge the gap of its unique requirements, the suppliers who meet the specifications and other requirements outlined in each procurement document. The identification of discrete suppliers is an ongoing and repetitive process, which must be accomplished quickly and precisely.

Steps to Register Online

  1. Click on the link to "Vendor Registration"

  2. Review your options:

    • E-mail Notification:

      • Automatically notifies you when you match bids, quotes, addendums and awards.

      • One low fee of $89.95 per year covers all member agencies

    • Free Registration (No Notification):

      • You must search daily for new bids, quotes, addendums and awards.

      • You are not notified when you match any new information.

  3. Complete the online registration form.

  4. Login to see if any documents are still open that match your company.
