Staying Visible this Fall

As the days get shorter this time of year, many of us are catching the bus before the sun comes up or at night.  Here are a couple of tips to help keep you safe and easily seen by your driver at your stop.

  • Be visible – wear light or bright color clothing to make yourself visible to an approaching bus.
  • Flag the bus Be sure to wave your arm to signal the driver that you would like to board.
  • Find some light – If your bus stop is not under a street light, hold up a flashlight or cell phone light while flagging the bus.

QLINE Transfers Accepted

On September 5th, SMART, DDOT and the QLINE will begin accepting each agencies’ transfers to allow for seamless travel between our systems. Here's what you need to know before you go!
  • QLINE Transfers are $ .25 and may only be purchased from the machines located on the streetcars.
  • SMART will accept a valid QLINE transfer. A valid QLINE transfer is good for three (3) hours from the time it is issued for travel in any direction on SMART.
  • As with any magnetic strip transfer, it should be inserted into the SMART farebox for validation and acceptance.
  • An additional 50 cents will be required if you board a Park and Ride route.

The valid QLINE transfer will be returned to you for continued travel (if it's within the time limit!).

Enjoy your rides!
