Proposed 2026 Service Changes

Hamtramck Update

Following input from the public and the City of Hamtramck, SMART collaborated with MDOT and Wayne County to add left turn exemptions for buses at Woodward / Holbrook and Caniff / Joseph Campau. This will allow for safe implementation of the originally proposed routing within Hamtramck along Holbrook, Joseph Campau, and Caniff. The most recently proposed route endpoints in downtown Detroit and the Bel Air Center (8 Mile) will be maintained.
